Lighthouse Creating Impact
at West Virginia University
 
Lighthouse has partnered with ANC to deliver a remarkable project at West Virginia University recently:  
• South Endzone Main Screen with the display size of 44.09 ft high x 134.17 ft wide using ImpactIII-12.
• East Ribbon with the display size of 3.15 ft high x 424.15 ft wide using FvII-16i/o-Oval-TA.
• West Ribbon with the display size of 3.15 ft high x 424.15 ft wide using FvII-16i/o-Oval-TA.
Scope of work provided by Lighthouse and ANC for West Virginia University (WVU) includes media design, product selection and system integration to enhance enjoyment and engagement of the game-day for students and fans alike.
The WVU Coliseum, which hosts basketball, volleyball and various entertainment events, features state-of-the-art digital multimedia technologies that create a cohesive arena presentation and fan experience, including nearly 2,500 square feet of 6mm LED across a custom, multi-faceted center-hung scoreboard, in-bowl fascia ribbons, and the venue’s sound and lighting systems. Overall, the new center-hung in the Coliseum – which Lighthouse custom designed in collaboration with ANC for WVU – adds nearly 2.75x more pixels of LED than the previous fixture, with the main video screen being almost doubled in size.
Over at the Milan Puskar Stadium, home of Mountaineer football, a substantially larger 44’H x 134’ W south end zone 16mm LED videoboard was re-designed and installed – besting the previous board’s footprint by 20-feet in height and 50-feet in length – accompanying upgraded east and west ribbon displays.
